Designed a web app used internally at Deloitte Digital.
The Deloitte Greenhouse web app allows clients to register for events and input their event preferences. Clients can also view the agenda, download session materials, communicate with other attendees, and see further details about the event. The goal was to streamline the registration process for clients and improve the client management tools for the Deloitte Greenhouse.
I was responsible for creating the UI and visual designs of the responsive web app using Sketch App 3. I collaborated with the developer using InVision App.
The Deloitte Greenhouse brand is grounded in innovation. To echo this concept, I used ample imagery to show the dynamic work conducted within the Greenhouse. The goal for this project was to simplify the web app to improve user experience and provide an approachable platform for clients. For returning users, the log in page will simply show username and password log in fields. If users get stuck, they can report any problems through the Contact Us button.
The client receives an invitation email for an event through the Salesforce database. The link from the email will lead to the first step of the registration process, which requires the user to input basic information and meal preferences. The second and third steps ask the user to select dates of attendance and confirm the inputted data. Information specified in an existing user's profile will be pre-populated for convenience. The user will then be brought to the event page, which they can browse for the event description, geolocation, event agenda, session attendees, and session reading materials. In case the user needs to adjust their registration, they can do so with the "Edit My Registration" button in the sub-header.
Clients can use the Greenhouse web app to communicate with other session attendees. Similar to a Twitter-style feed, users can post questions or comments. These can be posted prior to the event, or during the event to create conversation and get feedback. Other capabilities include a group feature, which allows the users to join chatrooms for specific topics or events. Users can also customize their profile by clicking the user icon in the navigation bar.
Users can easily access the Contact Us screen from the footer. I introduced a new design layout for this page to indicate that it is a separate component of the primary functionality of the web app, which is through the navigation bar in the header.
The requirement for responsive design was to create one breakpoint for mobile. I created the mockups below to deliver an intuitive and simplistic mobile view of the web app. I removed excess elements and updated the design with layouts better suited for mobile view.
